Bathroom Renovations for Richmond Homes
The right starting point depends on your home’s condition and the bathroom you want to improve. In an older Richmond home, a renovation may involve reviewing existing plumbing, limited storage or a layout that no longer suits your household. Those details should be considered before selecting new fixtures.
If your newer home has basic builder finishes, you may prefer to keep the layout and invest in better tile, a more useful vanity or a shower that suits your routine. An ensuite might need more storage, while a busy family bathroom may benefit from easier cleaning and practical bathing options.
For a basement bathroom or accessibility upgrade, discuss drainage, available space and future mobility needs early. We plan your bathroom renovation in Richmond, Ontario around the room’s requirements and your priorities.

What Our Clients Say

We invited various contractors to our home to discuss the main bathroom. It was great time to bring it to the 21th century. We listened. We discussed. We were promised the sky by some. Others did not hear us, but rather, followed their own agendas. Then we met Roman from Capital Bathroom Renovation. He listened, offered options and solutions. He made this project OUR project. We contracted Capital Bathroom Renovation to do the work. The estimate was fair. The assistance with the suppliers amazing. They are very respected in the industry. The work started on schedule with the demolition and its debris cleared promptly. The floors and stairs were always protected and the worksite was kept well organized and clean.Andrew who worked the project from start to finish had a great eye for details, his workmanship, creativity and punctuality commendable. The project completed on time and on budget. The only surprise? A spectacular room exuding Andrew's craftmanship. Friends and family members describe the room as a high-end SPA.We will certainly request Andrew and Capital Bathroom Renovation for our next project....the ensuite.Get Outlook for Android

We wanted a bathroom that was future-ready, had style and reflected the latest trends. The original bathroom square footage was small and that could not be changed. The bathroom was dark, we did not use the jacuzzi tub and we did not have a walk-in shower. Our newly completed bathroom is impressive. We have a walk-in shower with a Muraluxe custom wall covering that is grout free and has a proven performance in the market. It is stunning! The floating vanity and dressing table are both smart, versatile and glamorous. The demolition and installation a process was seamless from start to finish! The worksite was immaculate, debris removed, floors and stairs protected.A two week job was promised by Roman and the promise was kept.Kudos to Roman and Mike.Special mention to Sergeii who was amazing!!!Well done Capital Bathroom Renovations, you have a well-deserved 5 star rating and we will and have already happily recommend you.

Roman and his team just completed our daughter’s bathroom reno- we gutted it and started from scratch. New tiles, vanity and converted tub to larger walk in shower. They were amazing! Roman was very professional, personable, reliable, honest and pricing was by far the best from 3 quotes I received. He worked with me on finishes and brought our design to life! Sergey, our installer, was exceptional. His work was done to perfection. He worked hard all day long, was super polite and very clean. He always cleaned up everything at the end of the day. He would even go above and beyond to do last minute changes or requests that I had. I highly recommend Capital Bathroom Renovation and would hire them again to do more work in our house! 🌟

UPDATE: We just had our second project and it was just a good as the first and on budget. They converted our old massive ensuite into a new one plus a closet. Top notch work requiring all plumbing and electrical to be moved. They also fixed a ceiling beam and did a complete drywall on the vaulted ceiling. (Note that the ugly bathroom picture was our old ensuite). Our (first) project was a straightforward gut and replace. Roman did an outstanding job with our main bathroom upgrade. He was amazing and, along with project manager Alex, they offered great advice and suggestions along the way to get the job done properly. They respected the house by putting down covering over the floor between the front door and the bathroom. All debris and garbage was completely removed. The project was not large but was completed in two weeks as promised. Compared to our friends who have had unending trouble getting contractors to show up and complete the work on time, Roman showed up every day from the start to finish. We absolutely would hire Roman (and Capital Bathroom Renovations) again for any future project.PositiveResponsive, Punctual, Professional, Worked all day.ServicesComplete gut of existing bathroom, Tile work installation, Install and grout tile flooring, Paint drywall, Install wallpaper, Install vanity, Some relocation of electrical outlets and new lights, Install tub and toilet, Baseboards and trim, Complete cleanup and disposal of old items.

My wife and I are very particular detail oriented people. My son is an architect and he prepared detailed drawings for our job that involved removing a wall and moving the toilet etc. To some extent we evaluated the contractors by the questions they asked and their thoroughness during the assessment of our job.We interviewed numerous contractors for this job, and most of them failed our evaluation miserably. Roman was the exception, very detailed and thorough, explaining exactly how he would perform the important aspects of our job. Roman was the only contractor that we had faith in to do our job to the high standard we were looking for. They did a spectacular job, every detail perfect. Most of the actual work was done by another very skilled Roman. Over the course of the project we took quite a shine to Roman#2. I enjoyed watching him, he works in a meticulous fashion, every detail perfect. Everyday he would clean everything up before leaving for the day.We were so thrilled with the job, we had them renovate another (our master bathroom). Same results. So in summary nothing but good things to say, on time, meticulous workmanship, high quality finishes. Hire with confidence for a 10/10 job!

Roman and his team did two bathroom renovations for us and we are so happy with their work! Both bathrooms previously had leaks that they investigated and fixed. They had helpful recommendations and advice for how to approach other concerns and we always felt like we were in safe hands. Sergei did an amazing job with the hard labour - his work was detail-oriented, fast and clean. Roman was super pleasant to interact with throughout the process. Highly recommend this company!

Excellent shower renovation. Hired them to fix a shower that was leaking after four years in a new tamarack home. They were very knowledgeable was able to come in quickly and fix the problem by stripping down to the studs, fixed the mould and rebuilt the shower properly. They delivered the renovation in a 6 work day timeline and the cost they stated. They were polite, very clean no dust, quality was excellent and they are very proud and good at what they do. A big thank you to Anzii. I will hire them again for my downstairs bathroom which also has issues.

I am thrilled with my new master ensuite. Roman and his team transformed it from a 1980's bathroom to an amazing spa-like space. He was very easy to work with and responsive to all my questions. Alex was extremely helpful with making tile and colour decisions. They took care of the damage from previous leaks. Sergei was such a work horse. His attention to detail was very much appreciated and he left the area clean every night.I would highly recommend Roman and his team and have already gotten an estimate for the main bathroom renovation. Thank you for a job well done!

Alex and Roman both did an excellent job of our master bathroom ensuite remodel. They gutted the bathroom entirely and repaired the water damage caused by a leaking shower. Alex was always very professional, polite and friendly to work with, and was very responsive to all of my questions. He made sure I was aware of any issues that arose and offered multiple solutions when possible. Alex was also very helpful in giving advice on choosing tile and fixtures with his professional opinion. Roman is a machine and worked so hard, all day, every day. His pride in his workmanship is evident in the meticulous tiling, painting and installation of the vanity and our fixtures. He was also very clean and left the workspace tidy and clean at the end of every day and was always careful to make as little mess as possible outside the workspace. We are thrilled with the final result, and I love using my new bathroom every day. I would highly recommend Capital Bathroom to anyone looking for a very professional bathroom rennovation. The price may be a bit higher than other companies but the workmanship, professionalism and reliability were well worth it.

Roman and his team did a fantastic job in building a new bathroom for us in the basement. Alek worked tirelessly for us to finish the project on time, on budget, and with meticulous attention to detail. We are so happy with our new bathroom which is by far the nicest in the house!Throughout the project, we really appreciated the expertise Alek provided us and how he checked in with us frequently to make sure it's exactly what we wanted. Roman also went the extra mile to help us purchase the bathroom vanity and accessories. The electrician he recommended was fantastic as well. For relative new homeowners with limited experience in bathroom renovation projects, they really helped steer us in figuring out what would work for us. The addition of heated floors in our basement bathroom has made it so much more comfortable to use and wasn't something top of mind for us initially.I would recommend Capital Bathroom Renovation to anyone! You won't be disappointed!

Roman and his team with Capital Bathroom Renovations recently completed two bathroom renovations for me. Both were complete renovations. One a main bathroom involved converting a tub to walk in shower and the second a master bathroom creating a custom glass enclosed shower. All work was completed on budget and in the amount of time scheduled. Extras that we asked for during the project such as adding in a light were fairly priced. Roman's team are very neat and tidy, quiet, and respectful. We are so pleased with our new "spa like" bathrooms and the level of craftmanship.

Roman and his team are amazing. Regular and thorough communication. Friendly and very pleasant to talk to. Great attention to detail, craftsmanship and care. They keep the work area unbelievably clean and tidy every day. They work hard all day for long hours to get the job done. They are flexible and let you know what a change in scope could mean in terms of cost and timeline. Roman really goes above and beyond to deliver outstanding results for a very reasonable price. We're thrilled with our bathroom, it's like something out of a luxury design magazine. Can't recommend Capital Bathroom Renovation enough.

We hired Capital Bathrooms upon recommendation from a friend and now highly recommend them as well. Wow! What a wonderful experience. The job was to do a full bathroom renovation. From start to finish, Stas, our contractor and Alex, our project manager, were incredibly client focused. Decisions required were clearly communicated as well as recommendations of possible impact of our decisions and high quality materials such as tiles and faucets were included in the package cost. Stas did such meticulous work every step of the way. For example, when a rotted floor was discovered, even the crawl space underneath was cleaned up before the floor was replaced and the floor was more solid than it ever had been. Surprises, like additional time/materials for the rotted floor, were fairly negotiated for price changes as well. The work took a bit longer than we expected but when seeing the quality of workmanship and the attention to detail, we understood and appreciated the time we received. We were so happy with the result that we, immediately following the first reno completion, asked them to do our other full bathroom to do a bathtub to shower conversion with a niche. They fit us in so we could get all the renovation and dust mess done before doing a major clean. Now we have two new beautiful bathrooms! The most important thing, though, was that they were so respectful of our home and our time, always leaving the place neat and tidy. It was such a pleasure getting to know them and having them around our house. We will miss them!

In the spring of this year I engaged Roman and the crew at Capital Bathroom Renovation to convert a 2nd and 3rd bedroom in my townhouse into a Master Suite with a wall to wall closet and 4 piece master bathroom. We highly recommend using this company. Roman and his employees are extremely professional. Roman made recommendations on every aspect of the project from tile choices both for aesthetics and safety down to even the seating on the shower bench. Shower fixture placement were determined for the best optimal use. Removal of the large corner tub, separate shower enclosure, drywall and flooring were all done with very minimal disruption. We were absolutely astounded at how clean everything was kept during this project with so very little inconvenience. We were quite impressed with the hard working and detail oriented installer. High quality materials were used and meticulous workmanship can be seen throughout. The bathroom reno was completed at the agreed price and is exactly as envisioned.

I did a bathtub to shower conversion. I have to say I am very pleased with the company and the result. They are very knowledgable and explained to me all the technical info as I asked them questions. They kept on all the promises that were discussed at the beginning including the time frame, the cost and the quality. The installer was extremely meticulous, he took his time to really think through every item multiple measurements, and he did a splendid job in creating the shower and installing all the tiles. The staff were very professional and patient with my many requests. Cleanliness was very important to me an I was very impressed with how considerate they were. Overall a great experience, and I am very happy with the quality of the shower and the overall cost. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to do a bathroom renovation, and I would 100% go back to them for any future projects.

I just had a tub/shower converted to just walk-in shower. They did amazing work! Was very happy with the end result. Oleg was the installer. My only comment would be...if you get just the "normal" acrylic base, it is VERY slippery when wet. I did not think of that detail since it is my first bathroom renovation. I had to go and buy anti-slip strips to avoid any falls!!!

Having some mold growing in our shower behind the caulking, we knew there was a large possibility that there would be water getting behind the tiles in our shower. We reached out to Capital Bathroom Renovation and Roman was quick to reach out to come take a look. In addition, I'm someone who is severely asthmatic so I requested that he not wear scents and wear a mask. He was already familiar with people with sensitivities and said he doesn't wear scented products and that he would have no problem wearing a mask.Roman took the time to explain to us that there was likely mold on some organic materials behind the tiles. We decided to have our shower gutted and redone using the Schluter System which would guarantee that the shower would be water tight and would no longer have a mold risk. Roman took the time to show us all of the options that were possible. We asked if it would be possible to keep our existing glass shower door. He said he would try to save it but could not guarantee that it would not break during removal. This already was much better than the other two companies who would not even try to re-use the door. He made sure to select one of his employees (Oleg) who would be best at removing and reinstalling the door. Spoiler alert, Oleg was able to successfully remove and reinstall the door without breaking it 🙂 In addition, they threw in some free glass rails as our previous ones were pretty worn. This alone saved us a minimum of $700 + since we didn't have to purchase a brand new shower door. During our consultation, I had mentioned to Roman that for some reason I no longer had any cold water in my tap and asked if they could fix the broken plastic trim on our soaker tub. He said he would inspect the tap and fix the plastic border for free. At no point did he pressure us to make a decision or try to up-sale anything.I asked if it would at all be possible for Oleg to be masked for the duration of the project due to my severe asthma and that we would be masked also. This was not a problem. This was a huge relief for me as I am still masking everywhere.Another bonus of working with Roman was the 30% discount for tiles purchased at Century Tiles. This made a huge difference in pricing. This was so appreciated since we did not expect having to replace our shower 8 years after having moved into our brand new house. On the first day of the project, protective mats were installed throughout the house to keep the floor safe and as clean as possible. Oleg would clean-up on a daily basis to keep things as tidy as possible. Roman also noticed that the shower head was pretty low for my husband who is 6' 2''. He mentioned that they could move it higher if this was something we wanted to do. They moved the shower head up by 4 inches at no extra cost. The end result of our shower is absolutely stunning! It feels like pure luxury including the little niche we had installed. Oleg saved our glass door, moved the shower head up, fixed the plastic trim and even fixed my tap at no extra cost.We reached out to Roman shortly after the work was complete as there was a tiny spot of water coming through the bottom of the glass. That same day Oleg came by to make sure the caulking was fixed.I wouldn't hesitate to hire Roman again to take care of any bathroom renovation projects.

We had our master bathroom redone with Sergei's team. They remodeled it from a bathtub to a walk-in shower. Throughout the process they communicated with us very well, all the details were discussed and taken into consideration prior to the start of the project. They were incredibly helpful with delivering bulky items to our house, such as tile and vanity. Our contractor was very professional and respectful, the noise was minimal and he kept everything very clean, I swear this man did not take breaks, he just worked non stop. They were very quick with the removal of demolished items, it was time sensitive for us because it was taking up our garage and we had a big snowfall, so we needed the parking. The quality of work is top notch and the price was reasonable in comparison to other quotes we got. They finished 2 days early in addition to all that.

We recently had our bathroom entirely renovated by Roman and the team at Capital Bathroom Renovation, and we are very pleased with their work and are very happy with our new bathroom! We'd highly recommend them to anyone looking for a bathroom contractor in the Ottawa area.

Roman and his team are professional to work with. We were lucky we found him and he was able to make time for our full bathroom makeover. From quote to finish the entire process was stress free. No surprises. The respect for the house and work ethic is commendable. The team knew we are working from home and they worked noiselessly! Whenever the noise could not be avoided a heads up was given. Each day the home was left mess free. They respect your home and make sure that everything is moved out the way at the end of the work day. Roman works with you to find efficient solutions for any snags that may come along the way. He has some preferred partners for the materials, if we want to buy through them he helps with discounts. We really saved some money. Thank you!Roman is very patient, understanding and knowledgeable.

We were very pleased with the work done by Roman and his team at Capital Bathroom Renovations. Our bathroom renovation exceeded our expectations and they were able to fit us in with very short notice. Immediately upon seeing our existing bathroom, Roman was able to provide innovative design ideas and was able to answer all our questions. He was excellent at helping us identify suppliers for the fixtures, countertop and vanity that could be delivered in a short period of time, and as part of his service, picked up the larger items from the suppliers and delivered them to our house. They were very responsive to any concerns (all minor) that we did have. At the end of each day, his team tidied up and removed all trash from the space, which was appreciated. We would definitely recommend Capital Bathroom Renovations.
